Principles of data protection
Pro Developments GmbH &, Co. KG takes the protection of personal details very seriously. Numerous technical and organisational measures have been taken to ensure that the data protection regulations are observed both by us and by our external service providers. Through the further development of our web range and the implementation of new technologies connected with it in order to extend our service to you, it may be necessary to change this data protection statement. You should therefore read through the data protection statement again from time to time.
What is your data used for?
We use and store your personal details, including your address and your e-mail address exclusively to complete your orders and any returns. We use your e-mail address exclusively for order-related information and – unless you state otherwise – for customer care and, if you wish, for our own newsletter.
Beyond this, your personal details are only used and processed for other reasons if you have explicitly given your consent to such use, e.g. as part of a lucky draw.
Will your data be passed on to third parties?
Legal regulations require that we pass on your personal details to third parties in certain circumstances. This is the case, for example, if it is suspected that our website is being misused or that a criminal offence has been committed. We are then obliged to pass on your data to the legal authorities. Otherwise, your data are stored exclusively in our goods processing system and on our servers. The only exception to this is our partners who require the data to complete orders or services, such as the postal service or our banks. In these cases, transfer of information takes place in compliance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the data passed on are limited to the minimum required.
We further reserve the right to carry out an initial credit check to safeguard against payment default risks. Such credit check is warranted if a legitimate, i.e. financial interest exists. The credit check enables companies the payment on reception or by direct debit.
For this purpose, address data is automatically matched against the consumer database of CEG Creditreform Consumer GmbH.

Security measures to protect the data stored
Insofar as we collect data, we store it on specially protected servers inside Germany. Access is restricted to a few authorised individuals who are concerned with technical, commercial or editorial support.
To prevent loss or misuse of the data stored by Pro Developments GmbH & Co. KG, we take extensive technical and operational safety measures which are checked at regular intervals and adjusted to technological developments.
We must point out, however, that, because of the structure of the Internet, it cannot be ruled out that the principles of data protection and the security measures mentioned above will not be observed by institutions or individuals for whom we have no responsibility. In particular, we have no technical control over the reading of unencrypted data that are sent by third parties, even if this is carried out by e-mail. Each individual user is responsible for protecting the data that they send against misuse, by encryption or in another way.
Your right to information, correction, blocking and deletion
Under the Federal Data Protection Act, you have a right to information and to correction, blocking and deletion of your stored personal details. If deletion is prevented by legal, contractual, commercial or financial retention periods or by other reasons with legal basis, your data can be blocked instead of deleted.
